Abstract
The first article by Ian Cushing, unearths how students renarrativize a text after reading it by using text-world theory and the notion of textual intervention. Lambrou, Marina editor Narrative Retellings: Narrative Approaches London & New York Bloomsbury Academic 2021 vi+235 As is well known, narrative and stylistics are two essential approaches to literary studies, with narrative focusing on the structures of narrative in a literary text and stylistics responsible for "the study of the language in literature" ([3], p. vii). In the first article, "Restorying: The Creative Act of Retelling", Jeremy Scott holds that "stories are, inescapably, interdependent, self-referential and dialogic" (p. 23). Jean Boase-Beier through his article gives us a panorama of how to retell a story by means of translation, in particular, the retelling of stories relating catastrophes. [Extracted from the article]
