Abstract
In a recent deal, Flatiron Books has acquired the rights to the Eventing and the Briar Hill book series by self-published author Natalie Keller Reinert, as well as an untitled novel that will launch a new series. The series, set in the equestrian community of Ocala, Florida, explores themes of female friendship, self-determination, and romance. Entangled has also secured the North American rights to romance author duo Max Monroe's book, "What I Should Have Said," which tells the story of a runaway bride who meets a grumpy artist in Vermont. Tiny Reparations has acquired the North American rights to Josephine Baker's 1949 memoir, "Fearless and Free," which has never been published in English. Atria Books has picked up two books by Gabrielle Lyon, including "The Forever Strong Playbook" and "Forever Strong for Women," which provide practical solutions for health and wellness. Pegasus Books has secured the rights to journalist Steve Wick's fiction debut, "The Ruins," an electric thriller set in midcentury Long Island. Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has acquired the world rights to "J vs. K," an illustrated middle-grade novel by Newbery Medalists Kwame Alexander and Jerry Craft, which explores the intense rivalry between two talented fifth graders.
