Abstract
The present paper focuses on the link between technology and the activity of Catholic missionaries in the XX century, and aims to show how industrial and technological development progressively transformed the way missionaries worked. Since the 1950s, in fact, they increasingly integrated technological devices into their daily services, finding in their many applications (sanitary equipment, flights, new kitchenware) a fundamental means to fulfill their charity work.
